Port Charlotte
ANTI-ICE Protest
January 11th, 2026
On January 11th, 2026, in Port Charlotte, FL, at 1PM-2PM, there was an Anti-Ice Protest that took place. There was about 100-150 people who had attended, holding many different signs from LGBT, ICE, and HUMAN RIGHTS.
At the beginning of the protest, when we arrived, there was a young man standing on the side of the protestors with a sign that read "Deport Them All." This young man was there with one intent, and that was to stand and yell. One thing I would like to mention is this: if you want to open people up to the truth or share it, yelling, screaming, and swearing are not going to accomplish anything. As a follower of Christ, we should come to people with patience, Love, and humility.
1 Corinthians 13:4-9 "4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."
When Cullen and I go out, we go with the intention of speaking to people who have opposing ideas or beliefs or are on the opposite side of us. We want to understand what makes individuals agree with the ideas of socialism, LGBT, or even BLM.
Later at the protest, about 10 minutes after arriving, we were approached by a woman by the name of Porsche Santoro who I would call an LGBT activist. She has approached me at two other protests where she did the same thing. Being disruptive, hostile, and at times trying to be physical. The last interaction I had with this individual was at the Labor Day Protest on Sept 1st, 2025, where she would follow me around and disrupt all the conversations that I was having, and proceeded to cover and grab my Gopro with was mounted on my chest.
The other interactions we had with the protestors were great and productive. We had quick conversations about the 1st Amendment, 2nd Amendment, ICE, the border, and Etc. One conversation I was going to have was with a man who was holding a sign that had written Leviticus 19:33 and on the other side Matthew 25:23-24. Before he could explain to me the verses and his interpretation and context behind them, we were interrupted by Porsche Santoro, who was yelling right next to the man I was speaking to. I want to make this very clear when I make this claim about what happened. Porsche Santoro knew what she was doing because when the man I was speaking to walked away, she walked away, speaking and yelling no longer. Her actions were intentional, and she knew exactly what she was doing and what she wanted to accomplish.
I have always believed in civil discussion and the exchange of ideas. I may not agree 100% on the topic, but I am willing to hear your point of view. The last thing we want in America is violence, and not being able to talk to one another will cause that. When I surrendered my life to Christ, I started to go out waving Christian flags, give out Bibles, and hand out gospel tracks. When I did those things, I knew I was putting myself in a position where people would come up and discuss what I was promoting. If someone walked up to me and claimed to be an atheist or a pagan, I wouldn't tell them, "I can't talk to you because you don't believe in what I believe," or "you must hate Jesus because you don't follow Him!" I simply spoke to them to understand where they had turned away from the faith or why what they believe feels more like the truth, beyond the Bible. This requires humility, love, and patience.
Leviticus 19:33 "When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them."
Leviticus 19:33 can be easily taken out of context if we only take that one verse and say this is all we need. But we are to rightfully divide the word of God and consider all scripture when it comes to any topic of discussion. When I read Leviticus 19:33 the first question that came to mind was who were the countries that surrounded Israel and what were some of their practices? In Nehemiah we read that when they were repairing the wall, the nations around them were pagans and gentiles that wanted to destroy them. So when they built the wall, they worked and they had a sword on the side. So if they did not gentiles or pagans to come in and bring their traditions with them and practices, then what would be the requirement to enter Israel as a foreigner? In Numbers 15:30 we can read "‘But the person who does anything presumptuously, whether he is native-born or a stranger, that one brings reproach on the LORD, and he shall be cut off from among his people." Whether he is native-born or a stranger. The same punishment applied to the native-born and the foreigner equal. If you blasphemed the Lord, you were cut off among them. This verse then implies that when a foreigner comes in to reside, they must take up the traditions of the Land. This included the sabbath laws (Exodus 20:10), and even the purity laws (Leviticus 17:15).
"The stranger, for whose benefit the legislators enacted so many humane and benign laws, and with regard to whom the book of Leviticus has laid down so many precepts, is one of non-Jewish origin, but who had joined the Jewish faith. He had, therefore, to undergo the rite of circumcision; he had to fast on the great Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16:29); he had to submit to the regulations about sacrifices (Leviticus 17:8-9; Leviticus 22:18); he had to abstain from eating blood and the flesh of animals torn by wild beasts (Leviticus 22:10; Leviticus 22:15); he had to practice the laws of chastity (Leviticus 18:26); like the Israelite by birth, he had to refrain from blasphemy, and obey the moral precepts (Leviticus 24:16-22). These were some of the conditions of his sojourning in the land." Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers
That being said, we should all be open to foreigners wanting to come to America and build a better life. But if it is customary to come into America legally, so you are documented, then to break that law is to not respect the customs and laws of that nation. Biblically speaking, that individual should be "cut off" or removed.
