Gulfcoast Pride Festival

On Oct 25th, 2025, the Gulfcoast Pride Festival took place on Boulevard of the Arts in the Rosemary District. This event started at 12:00 p.m. and ended at 5:00 p.m. Many vendors and businesses came in to support the LGBT community and to sell their products. When we arrived at the event, we did not immediately go in but saw a group of Christians standing out in front of Planned Parenthood, which was a block away from where this event was taking place. We spoke to the Christians and held a short interview with them, and found that they were out front to pray for people going in. They were also part of something called 40 Days for Life, standing out in front of abortion clinics to pray and provide resources to those who end up at the steps of Planned Parenthood due to feeling hopeless, scared, or pressured into getting rid of their child in the womb.
First of all, I would like to discuss the way my friend and I were treated by the event organizers and the participants.
When we arrived at the festival, I immediately turned on my GoPro, which is mounted on my vest at all times. We walked through the event once to see what was happening, the stands, and who was there. We also did this to get a vibe of the event and the people there to see who would be open to having a conversation. The point of our conversations was not to win an argument or get a got you moment on camera, but to see why people were at the event, what they believe, and what makes them gravitate towards LGBT. We had no intention of mentioning the Bible unless they asked and spoke first on the topic of religion or Christianity. When people bring up religion or Christianity, it opens the door to discuss that topic, and it always ends with a handshake and love.
The first group of people we spoke to was an organization that does Free testing for individuals with HIV/AIDS. They do free screenings and give resources out to help those in need. When we approached the table, I asked if they were open to having a conversation, and the woman at the table said yes. When we approached, our cameras were out recording. My partner had his camera pointing at her in plain view, I had my GoPro on my vest and my camera in my hand, sticking out front, and the mic in my left hand extended out to make sure I get good sound. We spoke about what they provide, the age of kids that come in for scanning, and facts about the crisis of STDs among the youth. A question that I asked was, "Do you think that the amount of sexual content like porn has an effect on young kids becoming sexually active at such a young age?" The woman immediately shot down the question by stating, "There is no study that would support that."
But I would differ because there are plenty of science and studies that show the dramatic effect on children's and young teens' brains when they engage in watching sexual activity online and consume the content at an age as early as 8 years old.
The studies that show the dramatic effects on a child and porn are undeniable, and those that say that porn or sexual content has nothing to do with children and young teens becoming sexually active at such a young age are foolishness.
We see two worldviews play out when it comes to how to act on sexual activities. One is the secular humanistic view, and the other is the Christian view of sex. The secular humanist will tell us that sex has no meaning because it's all subjective, and the meaning changes according to what the individual believes, and it does not matter who it is done with, whoever. It's open to however you please, as long as it's not causing harm to others. This can lead to a very destructive view of sex and what love is when we take it a step deeper, because when you ask the question, "When should someone start performing sexual acts?" you will receive many answers coming from the people who reject the Christian worldview of sex and marriage. For example, I've been told by a few that children should explore their bodies. To go further, they were ok with children expressing themselves by performing certain acts on themselves in private, watching content with an open mind, and playing with themselves to understand what it feels like.
According to every honest study without a biased view, they will come out and say this worldview is unhealthy and is catastrophic to the mind and society.
The Christian worldview is full of wisdom and knowledge when it comes to the purpose of sex, marriage, and having children, all the way to how to raise your children. To start, the idea of sex according to the Bible is straightforward. What God has spoken about these topics is not to hurt or discourage you in any way, but keep you in right standing and to prosper. In Genesis 1:28, God commands Adam and Eve to "be fruitful and increase in number." This is before the fall, so sex by definition is holy, and marriage is the covenant between one man and one woman (Matthew 19:4-6, 1 Corinthians 7:32-34), and be kept in honor (Hebrews 13:4). Sex is for the physical, emotional, and spiritual union of the two for their lifetime.
What sexual sin does shows in all the studies that are done, but it's also a sin that is against God because it's a sin that's outside the original design. We are told in Scripture that sexual sin is against God, but also against ourselves.
1 Corinthians 6:18 "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
After the conversation with the individual woman at the table, a transgender woman (a biological man) approaches her, something that we didn't hear. This resulted in the women approaching us, telling us that we had no right to film them with our cameras. They proceeded to get the police that were present to try to tell us that we couldn't film them without their permission, but that fell apart because my partner and I knew our rights, that we don't need press credentials, or need permission to film at an event open to the public on taxpayer property.
The transgender woman (Biological male) who started the conflict goes by the name India X Miller, who is a Trans activist, and according to him, as we told, "wants queer kids to be queer." This individual would follow my partner and me around the event and would tell those standing around us not to engage in conversation. He did this multiple times and continued throughout the festival.
This eventually led the security team of the event to follow us wherever we went and even have photos taken of me. The only threat to him and others at this event was our presence and nothing more. We were polite and kind wherever we went and whoever we spoke to, and did not have the intention of causing division.
I also want to make this clear that if we are going to agree on the 1st amendment (freedom of speech), this also means being able to talk to others even if you disagree on the topic of discussion. To try and silence the voices of any person or to prevent conversations between two people is the very act that a communist fascist would engage in.
India X Miller has weaponized what freedom of speech is and has twisted it to mean that anything said that I disagree with must be silenced and kept out of the public square. But it's not only Miller who believes this; it's commonly used on the left as a tactic to silence their opponents.
Freedom of the press is protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution. This includes newspapers, digital media, journalism, and even podcasts. To add that we need "Credentials" to go around and ask questions is an add-on. It is not required in order to hold conversations and interview people.
The First Amendment covers all freedom of speech, which also means you can make videos and record me without my consent. When we are walking in public space on taxpayer property, by being in that space, you have automatically consent to being on video and photographed. The only limitations to the First Amendment are threats. We can not make threats of violence against others or government officials. This is common sense when you look into what freedom of speech allows.
Any type of control over what I report on or can say, which includes India X Miller, organizations, or any form of government, is a violation of the First Amendment.
A practice in which the left practices can be seen at almost every event the left holds. They have individuals follow certain people, and any conversation that begins, they shut down by telling the individual not to speak to them. Another tactic seen by the left recently at the NO KINGS Protests is that they have cutouts of arrows with bold letters written "Right Wing Troll." Another way of censorship is making the individual feel like they are either in danger or putting them in situations that make them feel uncomfortable. In this case, at this event (Gulfcoast Pride Festival), we were followed by individuals, photos taken, conversations interrupted, staff standing in the way of the camera, and removed from spaces. This was a way to silence us when it came to reporting what was happening at the event.
During one of the performances of a Drag Queen by the name of Alice Marie Gripp, who was nominated as Patron Saint of Queer Educators in June, was invited to perform at this event. He is known for creating "safe, inclusive spaces" for LGBT students and educators. Since Tom Edwards (details below) is now Executive Director of Project SRQ, there is no doubt that he is working with and alongside individuals like Alice Marie Gripp in the school system.
Alice Marie Gripp performed in front of the crowd during this event, dancing and doing inappropriate moves and gestures in front of not only adults but also in front of children. The children were encouraged to give money as he performed and danced around on stage and up close to the crowd. Not only did the child receive money from the parents to give to him, but other folks in the area would hand the child money to give him during the performance.
Matthew 18:6 "If anyone causes one of these little ones – those who believe in me – to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung round their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea."
The imagery of a millstone, which was a heavy stone used for grinding grain, signifies the severity of the punishment for leading others into sin. In ancient times, millstones were large and required significant effort to move, symbolizing the weight of the sin of causing others to stumble. This hyperbolic statement underscores the gravity of the offense in the eyes of God. (BibleHub.com)
Drag Queen Alice Marie Gripp
The last thing in this article that I want to make clear is that in Sarasota, we have individuals who hold certain positions in Sarasota County that I believe are not honest and open to criticism, and will fold under pressure. In this case, I want to speak about an individual who has made it clear what his agenda is when it comes to the youth in this county and what his worldview is when it comes to Christianity.
Tom Edwards is a school board member of Sarasota County, elected in 2020 and re-elected in 2024, but is the new Executive Director of Project Pride SRQ as of 2025.
It has been made clear what his agenda is and what he supports. His ideology when it comes to the LGBT community and what should be allowed in the schools.
Down below, you will find videos and clips of the interactions we had at this Pride event. I want to make this clear and open to the public. I want every person who reads this and watches these videos to know I DO NOT HATE ANYONE. The way we were treated at this event does not change my view of them in any way. They are sinners like myself and everyone in the world and need a savior (Romans 3:23). The only difference between a follower of Christ and the unbeliever is that we choose to follow Christ and leave our sinful life behind (Matthew 16:24). What we saw at the event shows the nature of a people who have rejected God to where God has handed them over to a reprobate mind (Romans 1:18-32).
Romans 1:18-32
"18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. These are individuals that God has rejected as godless and immoral because they have suppressed the truth (reality) with their sin. We as Christians need to pray for those who have this mind because the only person who can change a mind that has gone this far is Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 5:20 "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
